RoutineKit

Run your daily briefings and routines using multiple shortcuts for various information and actions

Description

This shortcut is designed as a "platform" or "utility" to run multiple other shortcuts to gather useful information for your day and/or or trigger actions that you want to run.

v2.0 Significantly expands the output options. In addition to View, Email, and Speech, you can now output to Day One, Evernote, or Drafts. This is great for automatically building your journal entries!

It works best with shortcuts built specifically for RoutineKit, but other well-behaved shortcuts can be used as well (although they may have menus or output as dialog boxes instead of formatted rich text).

Compatible shortcuts include:

  • Say Hello

  • Say Something

  • Say Goodbye

  • Battery Level

  • Weather

  • Remaining Schedule (meetings and reminders)

  • Quote of the Day

  • Word of the Day

  • Joke of the Day

  • Bible Verse of the Day

  • Horoscope

  • Random Shower Thoughts

  • News Feed (Reuters, NYT, MacRumors, etc.)

  • Active Energy

  • Steps & Distance

  • Heart Rate

  • Playlist

  • HomeKit Scene

  • Low Power

  • Full Power

  • And many more to come…

It is recommended that you do NOT make edits directly to this shortcut (other than configuring the shortcut inputs designed to be configured). Instead, please use one of the shortcuts designed to work with this one, such as My RoutineKit.

This shortcut incorporates the UpdateKit shortcut so you can receive a notification to download a new version when I make updates to this shortcut.

Keywords: briefing, morning, afternoon, night, schedule, calendar, appointments, reminders, to-do's, news, jokes, quotes, horoscope, health.

Uses: RoutineKit, UpdateKit.

Compatibility: iPhone, iPad, Watch (limited), HomePod (limited).
