Hi! Today (23.09.19) I tried the shortcut with an instagram link but sadly it doesn’t. A pop-up says: “no URL specified”

I have an iPhone XR and it is up to date with iOS 13. I didn’t touch anything from the shortcut. I just copied the profile link from someone in Instagram and then tried to download the profile picture with Dark Downloader and it didn’t work

Unfortunately you have to use the share sheet not the clipboard, hopefully this helps :) I’ll try in future to add the feature to use the clipboard

I’m sorry, I must of misunderstood your comment. Dark Downloader doesn’t allow you to download profile pictures but I’ll add the feature as soon as I can.

It might seem a little silly but with v3.0, try downloading your Vimeo link with the YouTube function, I tried it and it works.

I’m an IDIOT.. I’ve never done this before. I’m trying to freakin download YT videos ON MY IPAD mini 2.. I don’t wanna fire up the laptop EVERYtime I want a video or something... omg aaaaAAALL I get is: “no url”... “please specify url”..... REALLY?!!!!! I mean reeeeally?!!!! IT.... SHOULD... BE.... That should of taken around 10 minutes to download. It may of been the servers that it uses to download the video from, as it’s a 3rd party source. Sorry for the inconvenience

Soundcloud not working. "Numerical argument out of domain" "The index you specified was outside of the possible range (you asked for item 2, and the list has only 1). Every Soundcloud shortcut I've tried is getting that error.

It’s a common error with all the downloaders out there, you can try and use the YouTube option and select audio, and it should potentially work as it uses a external website. Sorry for the late response :)

Where do these get saved, after the notifications of minutes passed all just stopped, no error message, no prompt etc. I was trying to download a YouTube video.

Sounds like it was a long video, meaning that the shortcut can timeout unexpectedly. Unfortunately, I can’t fix how Apple made their app, meaning that you can’t download long videos. The only solution is to download in a lower quality and hope for the best. It also may be the external website the shortcut uses, was slow at the time. Sorry for the late response :)

The only one that works for me. Tried a dozen others w/youtube and got no url specified. This one is working fine (tried only youtube). It could be great if you’ll add the option to save to Files

Thanks for your feedback and support. As you’ve requested, I’ve added the option to save YouTube videos to the Files App. You can get the update by redownloading the shortcut using RoutineHub, or you can update it using UpdateKit.

Sorry for the late response, I’m also having trouble using the shortcut too, I’ll have to figure out what’s happened, I think it’s related to the external site it’s using. I have lots of things to do, so I might be a while in fixing it. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi @Danchio, I tried downloading your video, and it didn’t work. I believe that the external site it uses to download it is playing up at the moment. I’ll have a look to see if I can change the site for a while to solve the problem. It might take a week or so though, I’m very busy. Sorry about that.

Sorry about that, I just tried downloading it using the .mp4 480p and it seems to work. What quality were you trying to download it in? 360p doesn’t seem to work with Facebook videos.

Just tried downloading your video, make sure you copy the link and go through the shortcuts app instead of using the share sheet, as it will just sit in a loop. Not sure why it’s doing that.

Hey @christiaankourlinis, first off - great shortcut! I’ve been using it for a while now and I love it. However, I updated to v3.3, but I’m getting an error message when I try download from YouTube. The error says: “Conversion Error. If failed because Shortcuts couldn’t convert from Dictionary to Text.”. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks.

Hi there @FMisplon, sorry about that, if it doesn’t work for the platform you select, just use the YouTube option for your video you want to download. It works 99% of the time. So just use the share sheet on TikTok and select the YouTube option.

I use the shortcut to download the instagram post it warns that no URL specified. After in’s App update something wrong with the share link, can you fix the bug? Thanks.

Hi, I really appreciate the shortcut and I use it a lot. But recently I and a friend noticed that this one doesn't work on Instagram and Twitter (for what I tried): it says "unknown error". By the way I noticed this problem on another similar shortcut
