There are more media download Shortcuts, this one combine a few of them. Supports YouTube (Video/Audio), SoundCloud (Audio), Facebook (Video/audio), Twitter (Video/Photo) and InstaSave (Instagram Video/Photo profile downloader).

This is inspired by SMD (Social Media Downloader, YouTube Converter, InstaSave and SoundCloud downloader.

Thanks. Still haven't tried but seems so useful. But I'd still like the Dropbox save option back. Not a ton of iCloud storage space. DropBox is more generous. Also, it's Camera Roll, not Cameraroll in English. Dank u well.

Can & Could obviously. But for Shortcuts that get updated frequently, esp. thru UpdateKit, it's better if the author adds the features.

I can’t deny that logic especially since adding Dropbox along with iCloud isn’t much of a big deal to fix.

@ctawn, this option is already available. Install the Apple Files app. If you save a MP4 or MP3 the Files app opens and you can choose where you want to save the file (iCloud drive, Dropbox, MEGA, etc). @Chir4k, just tested and works fine for me. Remember that you can not download user-locked video’s...

Twitter doesn’t work at all and Instagram is inconsistent. It just says “Failed error code not known”

Nice work! 1. Why don’t you look at the URL domain and decide for the user which site it is? Then the user wouldn’t have to choose. 2. If I have a FB URL but choose YouTube the error is wrong. Of course if you take the sushi on above, this never happens. 3. Last time I checked UpdateKit recommends running at the end of the shortcut. There can be problems running it at the beginning and delays the work the user really wants done. 4. I don’t see how to choose between HD and SD.

Best one I’ve found that actually works I don’t like the m4a format from SoundCloud though but doesn’t matter for making ringtones in GarageBand!

When downloading say, an Instagram story (which nearly always includes more than one photo) wouldn't it make sense to save them all to the initially specified location, rather than request a location for every photo?

Hi Andy Would you mind if I add this to control centre 7 please, however it will run outside of CC7 as I do with a lot of mine now, it is so much quicker. but I would need you to add in a return to CC7 somewhere in the menu if that’s ok Cheers Tony

Sometimes I don’t want to actually download the picture, but would rather just be able to copy it to the clipboard. Could you add this is as a feature for convenience?

This is nice because I can download video and audio files, especially from YouTube. Sometimes I download files from soundCloud so I can put it on iTunes on my computer so I can do iTunes Wi-Fi sync on my phone to get it to the music library. It's especially good when mom doesn't buy her stuff that I want, so I can just do it this way XD.

I just save the file anywhere like on a flash drive and then we'll go to my iTunes on my computer and then just put it on the iTunes library, then I can put it on my phone that way.
