Mass text sender without making group text

Description

This shortcut will send a mass text out to those you specify. It does this without creating a group text to save you from the trouble of sharing numbers with everyone.

You have the option to select contacts individually or to create a group within the shortcut. Alternatively, you have the option to filter based on a group that you have already created within the iOS or iCloud Contacts app.

As of v2.02 this shortcut now has a built in updater mechanism

This is amazing, thank you! I wonder if it's possible to delete the message threads after sending a message to several people.

I am glad that you are liking it! Unfortunately shortcuts cannot delete messages from the Messages app. It may be some thing that comes available in the future though, if it does I will try to add something like that in the functionality

No the group works great. However when I click a defined group and send a message the message starts with “hi name”. For example “Hi john”. Is there any way to remove the “hi name “ and just have it say the message? Thanks so much for the reply

Yes it's possible for sure. I had added that previously as a personal touch for sending to a defined group but it can certainly be removed. Or would it be better for you if I tweak it so it asks if you want to include a greeting?
