Very nice shortcut!! Thank you. I use it to play videos in the background using vlc. Perfection!!
I’m also searching for a way to play videos in pip mode without having to manually copying the url from the YouTube app, going to safari and playing the video, full screen it, pip it.
Do you know of a way to export the video to safari and automatically full screen it and then automatically send it to pip?
Alternatively, can you send the video to nPlayer? (It support pip and VLC don’t).

There is an web API for PIP but it's not yet supported by iOS Safari. I'll look into nplayer integration!
