Authentication
Native Face ID/Touch ID authentication for Shortcuts
Description
Lock your shortcuts with Face ID/Touch ID using this shortcut. This method uses the hidden PreBoard app to request user authentication before continuing. No third-party apps (i.e. Toolbox Pro) are required. This is just a template; feel free to modify the notification and the wait time to suit the needs of your shortcuts.
For more information, read this guide on r/shortcuts.

Although it’s not secure, since version 2.0 it works like a breeze! Awesome work, man! It’s really good functionality

Thanks! I didn’t create this method, but I’ve tried to get it working as best as possible. AuthKit by @Burrito is the “full” thing (I picked up the PreBoard method from a teaser of AuthKit, in fact), but I’ll continue to maintain this as the option with no bells and whistles, just core functionality. Also: are you on a device without a home button? Version 2.0 temporarily breaks the app switcher on my iPhone SE 1. I may publish a third version that maximizes stability on both types of iDevice.

I had no idea it was based on AuthKit!
@Burrito has been doing an awesome job, for sure, but honestly I like your approach more. It's just so easy and clear to download and implement your shortcut.
I'm using it on an iPhone 11 actually... Only problem is that you can't reliably use it when sharing from an app to the shortcut. Or is there a way?
Looking forward to v3.0

When sharing from an app to the shortcut, "Continue in Shortcuts app" is needed so that the shortcut switches to the full Shortcuts app experience, which this shortcut is designed for. I'll add that to v3. Thanks so much for suggesting this!

Part of the idea of this is to be embeddable, almost like a simplified embeddable version of AuthKit. Glad you like it!
