I like to cook big batches of food (curries, stews, etc) and freeze them in individual portions for future use. I wanted to be able to keep track of my freezer inventory, add new foods as I cooked them and reduce quantities as I eat them. It will work just as well with stocktaking any items - not just food! ;)
