Rob's OCR & Translate
OCR and then translate any file or photo
Description
This Shortcut uses optical character recognition to recognize text from various input sources. The text is then translated to a language of your choice.
The original and translated results are displayed on your screen, copied to your clipboard, and optionally, saved to a file.
Rob’s OCR requires a free personal api key from Space.OCR. The api key will be saved in a small file in your iCloud.
You will be prompted to enter your api key the first time the Shortcut runs. If you do not have one, the Shortcut will guide you through the process to get the api key.

Just what I was looking for Rob. I just have one question. I'm using it to batch translate pictures of text in Cyrillic russian. But the OCR fails since it defaults to English when the 'language rus' parameter isn't specified.
How do I add that parameter to the shortcuts api call?
And maybe asking the user to specify OCR language would be a good step to add in an update to the shortcut?
Thanks

Your message prompted me to implement a language choice system in my other shortcut Rob’s OCR. Which then required a settings menu. And once I was at it, I moved updates internal rather than having to use another shortcut.
Long story short, your message led to my biggest update to this shortcut ever. Check it out.
But if you just want to OCR and translate, try using engine 2.

@ecl95
i have an api key and no errors are thrown, but regardless of what language setting I use (autodetect or korean), an empty file is returned, with no scanned text or translated text
