Like the idea of this very much but baulk at installing a weather app that doesn't seem any better than Apple's offering. Can it be adapted to use Apple's weather app?

Thanks for your feedback. That was my first thought too. :) But the shortcut is using „Apple‘s offering“. Apple‘s weather app seems to use the data from „The Weather Channel“, that’s why it is shown on the first screen. So no other app needs to be installed for this shortcut. :) Have fun with the shortcut and feedback is always welcomed.
