Create banners with the background color of your shortcut, the name and a short description or a slogan to introduce your shortcut.

MediaKit Markup

MediaKit Markup is no witchcraft, it’s just another way to edit your mockups. This part of MediaKit uses Apple’s Markup tool that’ve probably used before. Add notes with Markup, use geometric shapes to highlight areas and so on—anything Apple’s Markup can do.

MediaKit Prepare

Prepare your graphics for uploading to Imgur and embedding on RoutineHub. This guarantees that all MediaKit graphics have an accurate size and fit perfectly into the RoutineHub page of your shortcut.

MediaKit Upload & Markdown

MediaKit offers you the option to upload your graphics directly to Imgur. Images on RoutineHub are embedded with Markdown. MediaKit also takes care of this part for you. The code you need to embed images with Markdown is automatically generated from the direct links to your graphics. This code is copied to the clipboard so you can paste it directly to the RoutineHub page of your shortcut. The same goes with linked images like Video Players and Download Badges.

One of the most important things in design is white space. MediaKit offers you five different sizes to optimise your RoutineHub page layout.

Looks awesome! How did you bold the text in the alert that displays the first time it’s run? I’ve been wanting to do that whenever. I went in too look at your fancy coding, but the very text in the text box was bolted, and I’m at a loss as to how you did that. If you could pass on your wisdom, I’d be a very grateful padawan.

Hey! Thank you so much! :) It just the same technique all these *fancy text* Shortcuts use. Unicode offers a few typefaces and this is one looks like Gill Sans Bold. For all the special characters I use a great app which works as a third party keyboard. It‘s called UniChar and you‘ll find it in the iOS App Store. It’s worth the money, cause you can directly type what you like while developing a Shortcut. :)

Awesome! Thanks for getting back to me. I just tried to set the icon of a badge using one of my shortcut icons, and it worked the first time, but I didn’t like the color. After changing it, the icon doesn’t appear on the final badge. Any suggestions for the fix?

Thanks a lot for your kind words!!! Did you already figured out how to add the Badge? I recommend reading the User Guide, but at the end this are just two steps: First prepare the Badge with MediaKit Prepare and than upload it with MediaKit Upload. You'll find both within the MediaKit main Shortcut above. :)

Hi! I have read and noticed that the badges function where it takes a shortcut icon as the badge icon doesn't work all the time. But I've tried a bunch of time, it didn't work for me at all. So is there any way to solve this? I've redownloaded the badges shortcut as well.

The problem, unfortunately, is that if you have a device that causes these problems, a solution is more or less impossible. Some really smart people have tried to solve the problem, but unfortunately without success. Unfortunately, there is no logical reason for the error. For me personally, for example, the error only occurred once (and I have several devices to test). You don't happen to have an iOS device from the X series?

I'm really sorry that you are also affected. It's only a small number of users, but of course it shouldn't be. If you need a badge, I can create it for you! And one thing you could try: The shortcut opens the result with the action "Show Webpage". Some people managed to use the "Quick Look" action instead. Others have added a repeat action for the last part, so they don't have to restart the shortcut again and again.

Hi Bailey, this is actually quite simple: If you add a shortcut description to RoutineHub, you do so via the editor. This editor also allows you to embed images. With MediaKit Upload & Markdown you can anonymously upload the created graphics to Imgur and the corresponding code to embed the graphics will be copied to your clipboard. All you have to do is paste this code from the clipboard into the editor. That’s it. You will also find a guide in the shortcut, which explains this as well. :)

The shortcut supported iOS 12 not iOS 13, so that's why that happened. Now the iOS 13 version is out. ;)
